Rumplestiltskin was a lucky find on craigslist and we used him heavily for several years. I love every one of his daughters that we retained. He was able to spend the last few months of his life at his previous owner’s farm. Rumplestiltskin gave us many daughters, I believe his ratio was at about 70% doe kids while he was with us.

He was appraised in 2022, receiving very nice compliments from the appraiser. Being in rut at the time of scoring, he still did well earning a final score of VVV86.

Rumple received “Very good” in front and rear legs, and back. Scoring “good plus” in Head, Shoulder Assembly, Feet and Rump.

Although Rumplestiltskin is on longer with us, his legacy will live on through his many progeny in our herd. Althought we didn’t keep all of his daughters, the ones we have are always my favorite goats on the farm, and that follows through to his grandkids as well. He is one of the main foundation animals of our herd.
