Sales Policy

Who wants to read through sales policies? We just want to raise kids and milk goats and enjoy these animals. We also want to be as transparent as possible, and will do our best to ensure a smooth transaction when selling kids or adult goats to our customers. We take care to have a healthy herd, and it is our goal to present our buyers with healthy, friendly kids.

OK, on to the good stuff.

Reservations: We require a 50% deposit to reserve any kids we have listed for sale.

All reserved kids are to be picked up by 12 weeks of age unless both parties have agreed on an earlier or later date, within reason. Full payment must be made upon pick up. We prefer Cash or Paypal, but may take a check at our discretion.

We are happy to work with ground transport options. We are located only a couple miles from I-80 in Nebraska. All initial arrangements for transport are the responsibility of the buyer. All transport fees and CVI’s are the full responsibilty of the buyer.

At this time there is no deposit needed to get on our waiting list for kids that have not yet been born. If you are interested in a specific pairing, just contact us and we can make arrangements at that time.

All breeding stock will be tattoed and registered with ADGA.  We reserve the right to make the final decisions on names, but if you have reserved the kid early on, we will work with you on your preferred name choice.

All doelings and reserved bucklings will be disbudded. We do not guarantee that goats from our farm will not grow scurs. If you want a kid that is NOT disbudded, you should reserve it prior to kidding, and will need to deposit the full purchase amount before the kid is 7 days old (non-refundable except in the case of injury, illness, or death of the animal).

We do not band bucklings before 8-12 weeks (depending on the buckling), and do not recommend doing so until 12 weeks of age. Therefore, if sold before 12 weeks of age, wethers will usually be sold as unregistered bucklings.

Barring injury, illness, or death of reserved kid, we can only refund half of the deposit if a buyer backs out. Please take this into account when deciding to make a reservation.

Although we are willing to offer advice and suggestions, we cannot be held responsible for any illness, accident or death that may occur to the animal after the buyer takes possession.

If you, the buyer, need to sell any animal with the Plum Bush Farm name, we would appreciate the opportunity to buy it back at our discretion.

In order to ensure that ours and our customers expectations are met, we will abide by the policy set forth above. Additional agreements beyond this policy may be made only at our discretion on an individual basis. To be valid, any additional agreement must be set forth and agreed to by both parties in writing or digital communication.
