Daughter of “Sleepytime Goats Mocha”, Kona freshened for the first time in 2023, as an 11 month old. She is easy to hand milk, with large teats that express easily. Sired by “Old Beach ZZ ZYD Yorktown”, Kona’s udder shows improved fore, rear and lateral attachments over her dam.
Standing on very strong feet and legs, just like her dam, she has surprised me with how well she pulls a lot of great characteristics together as a very young doe.
Kona is very special to me, as she is the only offspring I have retained from her late dam, Mocha who was one of our first does.

In 2023, we dropped Kona to once a day milking at about 130 days and she also was dried up early. Since she started her lactation with a single doeling, as an 11 month old, I don’t feel like she did too shabby giving us a milk test high of 3.3 pounds on her first lactation.
In 2024 Kona kidded as a young 2nd freshener at one year and eight months old. She worked hard throughout her lactation, easily earning her milk star in all categories, making her an Advanced Registry one star milker.
